LINCOLN, NE - The Auburn Bulldogs' boys basketball team played in its sixth-straight Class C1 Title Game on Saturday, but the Wahoo Warriors claimed the crown with a 49-42 win in overtime. Auburn was down 16-3 out of the gates, but the Bulldogs clawed their way right back to tie the game at 16. The contest was knotted up at halftime, and Auburn built a seven-point lead going into the fourth quarter. Wahoo hit some big shots in the fourth, and the game was tied at 39 at the end of regulation. The Warriors scored the first eight points of overtime and wound up winning, 49-42. Northwest Missouri State commit Marcus Glock hit for a game-high 26 points in 36 minutes of court-time. Dylan Simons helped out with 17 and seven rebounds. Maverick Binder was the only Bulldog in double-digit points with 19. Auburn was out-shot 40-36% overall, and Wahoo was much more efficient from downtown (4/9 - 6/19). Auburn committed six more turnovers in the loss (14-8). Auburn finishes the season with a 28-1 record, while Wahoo winds up at 23-5.
