FALLS CITY - The Tiger Branch financial literacy program was a highlight of the February school board meeting in Falls City.
School Superintendent Tim Heckenlively said South Elementary students participated in a pioneering initiative aimed at fostering financial literacy for grades three to five.
Students shared their first-hand experiences as tellers in the Tiger Branch Bank, where they managed deposits with focus on financial responsibility.
Frontier Bank and the Nebraska Council on Economic Development sponsor The Tiger Branch.
