Toddler taken to Omaha hospital after falling out of second story window

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Police responded to a child falling out of a window on Tuesday.

Officers with Lincoln Fire and Rescue were called to a home near 9th and Washington streets around 10 p.m. on report of a child who couldn’t breathe after falling out of a window.

First responders found a window screen on the ground which belonged to a second-story window. They also found a two-year-old child who was breathing. The child had been brought back inside by his mother.

The child was taken to the Children’s Hospital in Omaha for treatment. It’s unclear what condition the toddler is in.

The investigation is ongoing, and nobody has been cited/charged as of Tuesday.
