PERU, NE - The Peru State College football team defeated Graceland, 37-31, on Saturday afternoon in the Oak Bowl. This was the Bobcats' fourth-consecutive win over Graceland.

The Bobcats had a slow first quarter, PSC kicked a field goal within the first three minutes of the game and took a 3-0 lead into the second quarter.

In the second stanza, Keyon Henry Brooks had an eight-yard rush to score the first touchdown of the game, making the score 10-0. Duke McClinton recorded his first interception of the game with 01:34 on the clock. McClinton had a 41 -yard return for a touchdown. Graceland managed to squeeze out a field goal at the end of the quarter. The score was 17-3 going into the half.

The Bobcats had a rough third quarter, but did get a TD toss from Colin Shields to Jordan Kempf from 26 yards out. The Yellowjackets managed to come back and tie the game at 24, though, heading into the fourth.

To start the final quarter, Duke McClinton snagged his second interception, this time running it back 42 yards for another touchdown and a 31-24 lead. After the Yellowjackets were able to tie the game at 31, the Bobcats managed to find their way into the end zone once again with just 19 seconds remaining. Graceland took over at the Peru State 48  yard line, but a sack by Ka'Von Lofton was the last play of the game in a Peru State win, 37-31.

The Bobcats outrushed the Yellowjackets with Keyon Henry-Brooks having a 111 total rushing yards. Lander Imbimbo added 25 on a successful fake punt.. The Bobcats had a total of 122 rushing yards while the Yellowjackets only had 57 on Saturday. Jordan Kempf led the Bobcats with 133 yards on eight receptions. Tyler Floyd ended the game with 64 yards and three catches.

On defense, Duke McClinton led the team with two pick sixes for a total of 83 yards. He also had seven tackles during the matchup. Kile Bentley had a total of eleven tackles with six being solo tackles. He was followed by Mason Benjamin with nine total tackles and Ashley Thompson who had seven total tackles. The Bobcats had three sacks on the day. Ka'Von Lofton had two & Mike Mitchell added one.

Peru State travels to Oskaloosa, Iowa, this Saturday, October 21, to play William Penn University. Kickoff is set for 2:30pm.
