SIDNEY, IA - 26-year-old Mark Dupre of Sidney, Iowa, was sentenced in Fremont County  for manslaughter in the April stabbing death of Corey Miller at 508 Main St.

Dupre was sentenced to 15 years in prison and ordered to pay $150,000 in restitution to Miller’s family.

Miller, age 26, will killed and a second stabbing victim, 28-year-old D’Andre Kyle of Sidney, Iowa, was injured.

Court records say a search of Dupre’s residence revealed methamphetamine. He was accused of using social media to bait the men to his property where he met them with a weapon.

Dupre had earlier recovered from a gunshot wound suffered in Peru in 2022. In the Nemaha County case, there was a confrontation with a neighbor over loud music. Guadalupe Delacruz, 59, is scheduled for pre-trial Wednesday in Nemaha County on a charge of assault.
