PERU, NE - Lourdes Central Catholic made the adjustments they needed to come back from a narrow halftime deficit against Johnson County Central in a 44-28 win on Friday night at Peru State's Oak Bowl.

Each team held the lead three different times in the opening half. Calen Schnitzer started the scoring with a touchdown run for LCC on the opening drive. JCC recorded the next two scores, both on TD tosses from Wes Swanson to Keegan Jones, as the Thunderbirds held a 14-8 lead through one period.

In the second frame, there were four lead changes and JCC finished the half on top, 28-24. JCC saw Swanson record a TD toss & a TD run, while LCC's Nolan Beccard did the same.

The second half was a different story as the Knights' defense came through, pitching a shutout, while the offense put points on the board on the first two drives of the half.

The Thunderbirds saw Wes Swanson run it in once and throw for three scores, while Keegan Jones had a pair of TD receptions.
