Cass County leads River Country in lodging taxes
State collecting $1.5 million more than last year

LINCOLN – Nebraska lodging taxes in the first six month of the year are outpacing last year by $1.5 million.
Cass County leads River Country with $118,000 collected through June. The county collected over $33,000 in June.
Otoe County collected $97,000 with $28,000 in June.
Richardson County has collected $16,000, Nemaha County $13,000, Pawnee City, Johnson County, $6,492 and Pawnee County, $1,156.
With a tax collection of $20,736 in January, Cass County had the state’s 13th highest tourism season in January.
