OPD investigates shooting death of pregnant woman

OMAHA, Neb. -- Omaha authorities say they are investigating a shooting where a pregnant was killed and another person was injured on Sunday.
The Omaha Police Department said they are investigating the homicide of 30-year-old Lezah Lewis.
OPD said early Sunday they responded to a ShotSpotter that alerted to numerous rounds of gunfire at 24th and Binney.
When officers arrived, they found Lewis suffering from gunshot wounds. She was taken by the rescue squad to a local medical center where she died. OPD said she was determined to be pregnant.
The second victim was a 48-year-old man who was taken to a local college hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the local medical center for further treatment.
