Three in hospital after Omaha shooting

OMAHA, Neb. -- Three people were taken to a hospital after a shooting in Omaha Friday night.
The Omaha Police Department said officers were sent to the 4400 block of N 72nd St. around 11:30 p.m. on Friday for a reported shooting.
Officers said they talked to three victims, a 19-year-old woman and two 20-year-old women. They reported that someone had shot at the car that they were in near 60th Ave. and Ames Ave.
According to authorities, two of the women were hit by the gunfire but had non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. The third woman was reportedly hit by broken glass but declined treatment.
A second shooting was reported at 11:30 p.m. Officers reportedly talked to a 40-year-old woman that said she was hit in the hands by gunfire while she was sitting in a vehicle. She was taken to a nearby hospital as well with non-life threatening injuries.
Officials said the shootings took place at the 5000 block of N 60th Ave. Casings and broken glass were found at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information can contact OPD or Omaha Crime Stoppers. Anonymous tips leading to the arrest of a shooting suspect are eligible for an enhanced reward of up to $10,000.
