NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City police K9 Mack was involved in an arrest June 3 after a traffic stop near the 11th Street viaduct.

Gary Earl, 52, of Nebraska City is suspected of possession of methamphetamine and a knife when prohibited.

An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for a Montgomery, Ala., man charged with possession of an ecstasy pill in a Highway 2 traffic stop on May 13.

Demont Mimms, 44, of Clarksville, Tenn., is suspected of possession of heroin on June 1.

Court records say the Nebraska State Patrol conducted a inspection of his truck and semi-trailer at the Highway 2 weigh station because of a flat tire.

Mimms is also charged with possession of a firearm while committing a felony.

Also in court news, Alexander McGinnis, 25, of Council Bluffs is charged with felony assault by a confined person on June 4.
