Auburn Utilities offers GM job to Luhring
Retiring Falls City manager asked to serve at Auburn for remainder of the year
AUBURN - The Auburn Board of Public Works agreed to offer the general manager job to Ray Luhring of Falls City at its May 23 meeting.
The board voted 5-0 to extend a contract offer from June 19 to Dec. 31 with an option to renew on a month-to-month basis beginning in January.
Luhring served as general manager of the utilities in Falls City since 2018 after working in Clarksdale, Miss. He is scheduled to retire as the Falls City utilities superintendent this fall.
