Ricketts challenges Biden EV plan
Administration looking for major driving changes

That's Sen. Pete Ricketts' description of the Biden Administration's push for more and more electric cars in the very near future.
The President is calling for two-thirds of cars and trucks to be electric in the next nine years.
And that finds Ricketts, a Republican and former two-term governor, arguing that especially in states like Nebraska the plan "doesn't make sense."
According to Ricketts, there's not a single EV charging station on a 340-mile stretch of Highway 20 between Allen and Hay Springs.
Ricketts adding the average price of an electric vehicle is $65,000.
