B103 FM welcomes new morning show host

NEBRASKA CITY - Flood Communications and B103 FM announce the hiring of Ben Root as operations manager for KBIE and KNCY radio.
Root will be doing the morning show and is looking forward to participating in community-focused activities.
Root was born and raised in southern California, where he earned a civil engineering degree.
While continuing his education, he earned a broadcasting degree with sports emphasis. He took his first full-time, on-air gig as an overnight DJ in Washington in 2006.
After positions as a news director calling high school sports in Wyoming, a sports director with a morning show in Wayne, Neb., and another stint as a DJ in Washington, he found his way to Milbank, SD. in 2010.
Root stayed with the company, but slid over to the bigger city of Aberdeen in 2011.
He was soon named sports director, Voice of the Northern State University Wolves and morning show on Pheasant Country 103.
