AUBURN – A $100,000 bond was set for 54-year-old Kenneth Bridgewater in Nemaha County Court, where he is charged with burglary and possession of firearm by a prohibited person on Feb. 27.

Court records say a Nemaha County sheriff’s deputy investigated a burglary report at a Brownville residence. The phone and internet line to the house had been cut, the windshield of a car in the parking lot broken, cattle horns inside the residence broken and a Glock 26, 9 mm handgun missing.

Deputies served  search warrant at Bridgewater’s Peru residence on March 1 and say the pistol was found there. Deputies say a hammer like one that was used to break security cameras at the Brownville residence was also located.
