Peru State plays today in NAIA tournament

PERU – The Peru State men’s basketball team plays today in the NAIA national tournament.
Peru State is the six seed and will play 11-seeded Mayville State in Jamestown, N. D., at 5 p.m.
With a record of 24 and 7, Peru State is in its third winningest season in history, scoring 84.8 points per game. The Bobcats average 51 percent from the floor and 38 percent from 3-point range, while pulling in 34 rebounds per game.
The team’s leading scorer, Lorenzo Anderson scores 15.4 points per game.
The Comets of Mayville State have a 25 and 5 record and score 92.8 points per game.
Today’s winner will play the winner of Jamestown and Bethel at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8.
