NEBRASKA CITY – A Florida man is charged in Otoe County with delivery of a controlled substance after marijuana was found in his Chevrolet Tahoe in a Highway 2 traffic stop.

Javon Duparl, 31, is suspected of possession and tampering with evidence.

An arrest affidavit says a sheriff’s deputy found 46 pounds of marijuana in separate 1-pound, heat-sealed packages.

The affidavit says Duparl had two iPhones and was given the phones during booking to retrieve phone numbers. He retrieved numbers from one phone, but the other he tried to break in half. The sheriff’s office says the phone was taken from Duparl before he could destroy it.
