BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) - One person was killed Tuesday morning in a rollover crash on Highway 370.

At about 4:15 a.m., Sarpy County deputies initially responded to the scene near the intersection of Highway 370 and 36th Street.

Bellevue Police said that someone had reported finding an unconscious person in the parking lot of a McDonald’s located at 3609 Summit Plaza Drive. First responders attempted CPR, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was later determined he had been ejected about 150-200 feet from a vehicle found — heavily damaged — in the area. The driver had been found with the vehicle and transported to a hospital with injuries that were not expected to be life-threatening.

Investigators later determined the vehicle had been eastbound on Highway 370 when it crossed the median as it approached 36th Street, crossed oncoming traffic lanes, and rolled on the shoulder.

The highway was closed from 36th to 42nd streets for about 4.5 hours in both directions shortly after that, reopening around 8:45 a.m.
