Habitual criminal charge filed against Eagle man
Prosecutor says Brueckner assaulted a deputy, damaged a patrol in flight from domestic disturbance

PLATTSMOUTH - A $500,000 bond was set in Cass County for Michael Brueckner, 57, of Eagle.
Brueckner is suspected of hitting a sheriff’s deputy with the door of his car and hitting a patrol car as he fled a domestic disturbance on Oct. 6.
Kansas authorities say Brueckner was apprehended after he was tased at a rest stop.
He is scheduled for preliminary hearing on Nov. 11.
Prosecutor Christopher Perrone filed a habitual criminal enhancement. The state claims that Brueckner was earlier sentenced to prison on a Nebraska possession conviction and a Florida weapons conviction.
Brueckner was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Florida in 2007.
