NEBRASKA CITY – Nearly a decade after establishing B103 FM and recasting KNCY Radio, Flood Broadcasting is strengthening its commitment to River Country with the hire of Jennie Tachovsky as its new general manager.

Tachovsky, a Nebraska City native, was a member of the River Country team for six years from 2016 to 2021 as sales coordinator and marketing consultant.

She has most recently served as general manager of Kimmel Orchard and Vineyard Educational Foundation.

Brad Achtemeier, senior vice president of Flood Communications, said Tachovsky will actually be filling a new role for the radio stations.

Achtemeier: “Her addition will enhance our ability to connect with our customers and the community.  She will provide daily support for our Nebraska City Team.”

Tachovsky said her main goal is to accelerate opportunities for growth at every corner of the listening area by community involvement and expanding B103 and KNCY as a leading resource for River Country.

Achtemeier said Tachovsky will help Flood Broadcasting in its mission to serve clients with her connections to the area and knowledge of marketing.

Achtemeier: “We’ve seen steady growth in Nebraska City and want to provide more resources, more experience and a point person in River Country on a daily basis.”

Tachovsky’s first day is scheduled Nov. 1. She plans to be on air with Marcus in the Morning and other key events. She will be building radio promotions and training sales staff.

Tachovsky also promises to renew her morning show persona as the 'Queen Bee.'
