SCOTTSBLUFF - A man wanted in the shooting death of a woman in Scottsbluff Tuesday remains on the run. 

The suspect, Davin Darayle Saunders, 39, and considered a relative to the victim, was last seen at a Walmart in Cheyenne, Wyo. at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday when authorities were dispatched to 580 Livingston Ave. for a report of a domestic disturbance with a firearm. Saunders was able to elude authorities and has not been located. 

He's described as a black male, 5’11”, 190-200 pounds, brown eyes, and black hair. He has numerous tattoos, including on both inner forearms. A script tattoo across his upper chest, a tattoo of script on the right side of the neck that has a star at the beginning and at the end of the text, and a flaming skull tattoo above the navel.

Saunders is accused of killing Karen Cooper, 63, of Scottsbluff. Authorities responded to the scene at 1700 block of Avenue Z at approximately 5 p.m. Tuesday on reports of an argument and shots fired. ScottsSpencer says when officer arrived, they found Cooper with gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were taken, but were unsuccessful. Cooper died at the scene. 

Scottsbluff police issued a warrant for Saunders' arrest Wednesday afternoon on charges of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class 1B Felony; Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person, Class 1D Felony and Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony, a Class 1C Felony.

Saunders has an extensive history of violence and should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Saunders, of if anyone has seen the suspect, you're asked to call (307) 637-6525, (308) 632-7176 or (308) 632-STOP, or email crimestoppers@scottsbluff.org.
