OMAHA - The first round of district baseball began Friday morning and ended late Friday night in what was a beautiful day for baseball. River Country teams competed all across the state for hopes of extending their seasons for at least another day. Below are scores from Friday and where things stand heading into Saturday's round of games.

District B-1, hosted by Norris

No. 3 Lincoln Christian 5, No. 6 Falls City 0

Falls City's season comes to an end at 3-13. Lincoln Christian advances to the semifinals. 

District B-2, hosted by Omaha Skutt Catholic

No. 4 Plattsmouth 8, No. 5 Crete 1

Drew Iverson pitched a complete game striking out 10 to earn the win. Sam Campin hit a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the first inning for the Blue Devils. Plattsmouth (10-9) will play top seeded Omaha Skutt Catholic (17-5) in the semifinals at 12 p.m. at Keith Engelkamp Family Field on Saturday. 

No.3 Nebraska City 9, No. 6 Douglas County West 4

The Pioneers (10-10) advance to the semifinals after coming back to beat the Falcons. Nebraska City batted around in the sixth, scoring eight runs on four hits, to take a 9-3 lead after trailing 2-1. The big blows came when Keston Holman unloaded on a 2-run double with the bases loaded followed by a Bayler Poston 2-run single. Hayden Coyle earned the win on the mound. Nebraska City faces No. 2 Waverly (11-13) Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with the winner advancing to Monday's district final. 

District B-3, hosted by Central City/Fullerton/Centura

No. 3 Platteview 9, No. 6 St. Paul/Palmer 8

The Trojans play No. 2 Elkhorn (13-13) at 12:30 p.m. at Kernel Field for a spot in the championship game.

District B-4, hosted by Elkhorn North

No. 4 Concordia/Brownell Talbot/Omaha Christian Academy 12, No. 5 Auburn 2

The Mustangs (11-9) scored five runs in the first and never looked back. Chase Bouges pitched six innings while striking out five for the Mustangs in the win. Landon Casey gets the loss on the mound for Auburn. The Bulldogs finish the year at 5-12.
