Peru State cross country signs Lauren Pugh for 2022 season
Earlier this semester, Peru State Cross Country head coach James Cole signed Lauren Pugh to the women's cross country team.
(Peru, Neb.)—Earlier this semester, Peru State Cross Country head coach James Cole signed Lauren Pugh to the women's cross country team.
Pugh is from Albion, Nebraska where she attended Boone Central High School. Her parents are Mike and Natalie Pugh. Pugh plans on studying Computer Management and Information Systems while attending Peru State College.
Here is what head coach James Cole had to say about the addition…
"Lauren has competed in cross country and track throughout high school and is great addition to our team," said Cole. "She has overcome running injuries in high school and pushed forward to help her team succeed."
Cole added…
"Her finish times make her a strong contender to be one of our top seven runners for the upcoming fall 2022 season."
Pugh ran a 24.01 5K at the NSAA District C-4 meet last season helping her team to a third place finish.
