Finke and Skalak Named March Bobcat Athletes of the Month

Peru State Athletic Director Wayne Albury recently announced the selection of women's golfer Taylor Finke (Battle Creek) and men's bowler Isaac Skalak (Lincoln) as the Bobcat Athletes of the Month for March.

(Peru, Neb.)—Peru State Athletic Director Wayne Albury recently announced the selection of women's golfer Taylor Finke (Battle Creek) and men's bowler Isaac Skalak (Lincoln) as the Bobcat Athletes of the Month for March.
 
In the month of March Finke won the Graceland Spring Invitational in Maryville, Missouri. She shot a 91 on day one and an 87 on day two shooting +34 over the two-day period. She helped the Bobcat golf team to a second-place finish.
 
Finke competed in two other events this March as she finished 25th overall at the Baker Spring Invitational. She shot a 96 in her first round and an 89 in her second shooting + 41 overall.
 
The final event she competed in this March was the TPC Deere Run Invitational as she finished tied for 41st place shooting an 86 on day one and a 92 on a day two shooting +34 overall.
 
Finke and the Bobcats are at home this Thursday, April 7, and Friday, April 8, hosting the Peru State Invite at Table Creek in Nebraska City.
 
Skalak recently earned NAIA second team All-American honors. Earlier this March, Skalak helped the Bobcats compete in the ITC Sectionals where the team finished in 11th place. Skalak finished in 88th place competing in the singles event.
 
Skalak was also named the Heart Bowler of the Year this past month.
 
The Peru State men's bowling team along with Skalak look to be a force next season in the Heart conference and on the national stage.
