Peru State's Finke finishes first at Graceland Spring Invitational
On Friday March 25, and Saturday March 26, Taylor Finke (Battle Creek) won the Graceland Spring Invitational shooting +34 over the two-day period. The Peru State women's golf team finished in second place at the Invite.
(Peru, Neb.)— On Friday March 25, and Saturday March 26, Taylor Finke (Battle Creek) won the Graceland Spring Invitational shooting +34 over the two-day period. The Peru State women's golf team finished in second place at the Invite.
Four complete teams competed in Maryville, Mo., Waldorf University, Peru State, Central Methodist and North Central Missouri CC. Graceland did not have a complete team but individual women competed.
Waldorf University finished in first place shooting 393 the first day and 386 the second day, they shot +203 overall. Peru State finished in second shooting 427 the first day and 429 the second day, shooting +280 overall. North Central Missouri CC and Central Methodist did not finish.
Finke finished first overall shooting 91 in round one and 87 in round two shooting +34 overall.
Laura Wells (Girard, Kan.) tied for ninth place as she shot 109 the first day and 113 the second day shooting +78 overall.
Finishing 13th overall was Olivia McAsey (Holton, Kan.) shooting 110 the first day and 114 the second day shooting +80 overall.
Brooklyn Brenneis (Tekamah) finished 14th overall shooting 117 the first day and 115 the second day shooting +88 overall.
Finishing 17th overall was Carly Johnson (Schuyler) shooting 132 the first day and 119 the second day shooting +107 overall.
The Peru State women's golf team is in Moline, Ill., Monday March 28, and Tuesday March 29, for the TPC Deere Invitational.
