NEBRASKA CITY - Nebraska City Fire and Rescue has issued a burn ban until further notice.
Relative humidity below 25 percent and winds gusting above 15 mph placed the fire danger index at very high earlier in the week.
The humidity rebounded to 80 percent by today. Winter storm watches are issued for Nebraska’s panhandle today and as much as an inch of snow is forecasted for portions of southeast Nebraska through Sunday.
