OMAHA, Neb. --  Authorities took four people into custody after a robbery and shooting at officers.

Omaha Police said that they, along with Sarpy County law enforcement, have taken four people into custody who were involved in a robbery and then shot at officer Tuesday morning.

Officials said that just before 3 a.m. OPD officers were notified by a citizen about a robbery at the Quik Trip on South 108th Street.

Authorities said that officers observed the suspect vehicle traveling east on Mockingbird Drive.

OPD officers said they attempted to conduct a traffic stop, and a suspect in the vehicle fired numerous gunshots at officers, striking the police cruiser. At this point, officers initiated a pursuit that continued into Sarpy County to the area of 138th and Buffalo Road.

Officials said that multiple enforcement agencies, K-9 officers and Able-1 assisted setting up a perimeter in the area.

Authorities said they located three suspects and took them into custody without incident. Officers later located a fourth suspect.

All suspects were taken to OPD Central Headquarters for questioning.

This is an ongoing investigation and charges are pending.
