PLATTSMOUTH – William Bescheinen, 41, of Union was sentenced to 36 months probation for unlawful possession of explosive material in December of 2020.

Court records say Cass County sheriff’s deputies and a Nebraska State Patrol bomb squad searched Bescheinen’s residence and found a commercial grade detonation cord. Prosecutors say felons are not allowed to have a detonation cord.

He was also sentenced to probation for attempted possession of a firearm by a felon.
