OMAHA, Neb. — Nolan M. King, 22, of Omaha, was arrested and has been charged with 2nd-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony, after reportedly assaulting an Oklahoma man who later died.
Rodney Pettit, 41, of Lawton, Oklahoma, died Monday at the Nebraska Medical Center.
Police said in a news release that Pettit was found unconscious inside the Parliament Pub Saturday night in Omaha’s Old Market area.
Before Pettit died, King was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault with a weapon. The charges for King have since been amended to 2nd-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
