Forecast piles up as snow storm pushes east, forecast 8" Ogallala, 13" at Tecumseh
Band of snow across the eastern portion of the continent expected to start in southeast tonight
VALLEY – The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning at 10:56 Sunday morning for areas of southeast Nebraska including Johnson, Nemaha, Pawnee and Richardson counties.
Snow accumulations of eight to 13 inches are forecast from 3 a.m. tonight to 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
Travel could be very difficult. Blowing snow is forecast to follow periods of freezing drizzle.
This storm warning follows a warning issued for eight counties including Butler, Saunders, Sarpy, Cass, Otoe, Lancaster and Seward counties.
A forecast of heavy snow is from 6 a.m. Monday to 3 p.m. Tuesday.
