River Country's Most Wanted 2021

NEBRASKA CITY - As River Country rings in the new year, COVID-19 might not be the only thing you could catch in 2021.
Last year, local officials reported more than 3,400 active arrest warrants in 2020. Some of those outstanding warrants that have carried over to this year could prove to be a top priority in 2021. Here are River Country’s most wanted:
Travis Kirkendall
Travis Kirkendall, 46, whose last known address was in Falls City, has numerous charges pending against him. He is suspected of burglary at Harmon’s OK tire and driving a stolen van through a city park in Falls City on Aug. 12th, 2018. The vehicle, a 2004 Ford Econoline van, was reported stolen from Bellevue, Neb.

Kirkendall was also mentioned in a state Fire Marshal’s report in regards to the use of a home-made explosive at the Spirit Shoppe in Falls City on Sept. 18th. The investigator on the case said that a woman convicted in the explosion discussed making the home-made explosive with Kirkendall.
The sheriff’s office alerts citizens not to apprehend Kirkendall themselves, but to dial 911 if he is seen.
Justin Carnes
Justin Carnes, 25, was arrested on Sept. 5, 2018 at the border of Otoe and Cass counties on Highway 50 after an 80-mile, high-speed chase.

The Missouri man was arrested by Nebraska State Patrol, which states that Carnes was driving at speeds exceeding 110 mph,. He is suspected of nearly hitting another car head-on in an effort to avoid spike strips.
An affidavit says that the grey-sedan Carnes was driving the night was reported stolen out of St. Louis, Mo.
Carnes failed to appear in court on Dec. 12, 2018 and the arrest warrant was issued shortly after.
Luis R. Perez
Luis Perez, age 22, was charged with 2nd degree domestic assault on Nov. 18th, 2019, stemming from an altercation with his partner on Nov. 12th.
Court records say Perez was sentenced to 18 months probation for hitting a pregnant woman in the presence of a child.
The woman told investigators that Perez was being evicted from his residence and was unhappy at the pace she was loading boxes into the van.
In a separate case, police say Perez and others are wanted for questioning following an April 20, 2019 shooting in Nebraska City.
Police say Perez and the other three men left in a car before they arrived.
Perez was sentenced to probation in July of 2019, but probation says his whereabouts are unknown.
Dustin Cunningham
Dustin Cunningham, 32, was arrested on May 29th, 2019 and suspected of a probation violation and possession of a controlled substance.
Cunningham is accused of violating a protection order on April 24th, 2019. A Nebraska City woman said Cunningham threatened her and would break the exterior window of her bedroom if she covered it with a curtain or sheet.
Cunningham was also arrested on a warrant after he failed to appear on charges of escape and possession after a K-9 apprehension on Dec. 14th, 2018.
Cunningham failed to appear in court again on Oct. 7th, 2019 for violation of the protection order and possession of a controlled substance. His current whereabouts are unknown.
David Ivey
AUBURN - An arrest warrant has been issued for a truck driver accused of fleeing arrest through Auburn with a load of cattle.

David Ivey, 49, of LaFollette, Tenn., is accused of forcing traffic on the shoulder to avoid being hit on Highway 75 outside of town and driving into town as speeds of 75 mph.
An arrest affidavit says Ivey told deputies the trailer was empty, but it still had a load of 59 head of cattle. Ivey bonded out of jail nine days later.
He entered a plea of no contest to attempted possession of methamphetamine, operating a vehicle to avoid arrest and leaving the scene of an accident, but did not show up for a sentencing hearing. His whereabouts have been unknown since Oct. 21.
Eli Ragin
Eli Ragin, 24, faces charges of terroristic threats, domestic assault and criminal mischief from a July 24th, 2019, encounter with his girlfriend.
Ragin, A Falls City man, called an ambulance after lacerating his finger with a pocket knife during a “physical tussle” with his girlfriend in their apartment.
His girlfriend told police that Ragin took the knife from her after putting her in a headlock. She also said Ragin stabbed the window of the car she was in before throwing the knife.
Ragin denied the claims. Police said blood evidence supports the woman’s account of what happened.
Ragin failed to appear in court on both Oct. 8, 2019 and Oct. 22nd, 2019 and his current whereabouts are unknown.
Nicolas Mora
Nicolas Mora, 27, whose last known address was Humboldt, has a pending case of possession of a controlled substance and a pending case of unlawful display of plates from Aug. 1st, 2019.
Mora, was reportedly driving a Chevy S10 that was reported stolen out of Topeka, Kan. A Richardson County sheriff’s deputy ran the tags from the S10 Mora was driving and said that the license plates came back as an S Series Saturn.
An arrest warrant was issued for Mora Nov. 5th, 2019, after he failed to appear in county on Oct, 29.
Alexander Reed
Alexander Reed, 26, is facing charges of operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest and reckless driving in Richardson County.
Reed, who also has a warrant out for his arrest in Missouri, was reportedly spotted in Falls City by a police officer while he was washing his windshield at a Kwik shop. The officer initiated a traffic stop, but Reed is said to have continued driving, leaving city limits. Reed’s current whereabouts are unknown.
Jose Garcia-Rodriguez
Jose Garcia-Rodriguez, 22, was charged with a 3rd degree felony domestic assault against a pregnant woman on Sept. 15th, 2019.
An arrest affidavit says that Rodriguez drove a woman to Plattsmouth, but when he arrived he did not want to go inside the residence. The woman did not want to get out of the vehicle.
The affidavit states that the woman said that at that point Rodriguez threw her out of the truck and drove away.
Rodriguez’s current whereabouts are unknown, but his last known address was in Plattsmouth.
Anthony Schlotfeld
Anthony Schlotfeld, 31, is charged in Richardson county with methamphetamine and operating a vehicle to avoid arrest on Dec. 15th, 2020.
An arrest affidavit says that Schlotfeld exited a car for a pat down, and a state trooper found a bag containing 27 grams of meth on the ground by his feet.
Court records say that at that moment, Schlotfeld, ran to his car and drove away.
Most wanted captured: Santino Kenyi
Santino Kenyi, 21, is charged with 1st degree sexual assault of a minor originating from a summer camp in Ashland.

Kenyi, a Sudan national and former camp counselor, is suspected of sexually assaulted a 14-year-old female camper between the hours of 2-3 a.m. on July 12th, 2019.
Investigators obtained a DNA sample from Kenyi after he returned to Cloud Community College in Concordia, Kan. and court records say that the DNA evidence supports the report to authorities.
The Cass County attorney's office moved to revoke Kenyi’s $10,0000 bond claiming that Kenyi had attempted to leave the United States.
Court records say that a Homeland Security officer notified the court that kenyi had crossed into Canada from New York and had been returned to New York.
