FALLS CITY – An Omaha man is charged in Richardson County with methamphetamine and operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest on Dec. 15.

A Nebraska state trooper stopped a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Anthony Schlotfeld on Highway 75.

An arrest affidavit says Schlotfeld exited his car for a pat down search, but the trooper found a bag containing 27 grams of meth on the ground by his feet.

Court records say Schlotfeld then ran to his car and accelerated away. He was arrested after entering Nemaha County.
