PLATTSMOUTH - Kaycee Wise, 30, of Plattsmouth is sentenced to 240 days in jail for menacing assault and 120 days for violation of a protection order.

Wise had finished a previous 90-day sentence in jail for violation of a protection order in defense of 29-year-old Saraha Richards. Prosecutors say he threatened Richards and violated the protection order again on Aug. 23.

Richards is scheduled for a court hearing Nov. 30 on allegations that she drove in the grass at Rhylander Park in the direction of two juveniles.

In other Cass County court action, an arrest warrant has been issued for an Omaha man accused of a high-speed chase in May.

Prosecutors say Daniel Kessel, 55, was arrested after he crashed his car near the Bay Road exit of Highway 75. He is accused of fleeing police at speeds up to 130 mph and forcing oncoming traffic onto the shoulder before the crash.

Court records say he failed to show in court in September.
