Richardson County pursues DAV transport

FALLS CITY – Richardson County commissioners approved the acquisition of a new transport van for veteran services.

Veteran Service Officer Mona Godemann met with commissioners Tuesday regarding replacing a van that has been provided by the Disabled American Veterans’ transportation network.

Commissioners agreed to pursue a cost-share with a new van through the network.

Commissioners also discussed removal of a fuel tank from the courthouse grounds. The county is making arrangements to empty the tank.

The sheriff’s office reports that is has received an inmate contract from Otoe County.
