Unbelted Driver Hospitalized

PLATTSMOUTH – Cass County Sheriff William Brueggemann reports an injury accident Wednesday on 214^th Street north of Eagle.

A sheriff’s office press release says a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 64-year-old James Jelen of Lincoln left the road and struck a tree. The sheriff says the 911 dispatcher had received a call prior to the accident saying the Malibu was traveling at a high speed.

Eagle Fire and Rescue and Cass County EMS responded. Jelen, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Bryan West in Lincoln.
