Simpson suspected of stealing gun and holster from pickup truck

NEBRASKA CITY – James Simpson, 52, of Nebraska City is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon on Aug. 16 and theft.
An arrest affidavit says police investigated the theft of a semi-automatic pistol and holster and say Simpson attempted to sell the gun unsuccessfully in Hamburg and Nebraska City.
Police are still looking for the .40 caliber Springfield XD-M and left-handed holster.
