Driver Cited After Crash In Murray Work Zone

MURRAY - Sheriff William C. Brueggemann says a driver has been ticketed for not having children in seat restraints prior to a two-vehicle, injury accident at the construction zone in Murray.
A sheriff’s office press release says a Ford Flex driven by Brian Begemann, 51, of Murray was hit in the rear by a Lincoln Mark VIII driven by Tristan Brodersen, 24, of Plattsmouth.
Investigators say Brodersen was traveling at a high rate of speed entering the construction zone and three juveniles in the vehicle were not buckled in the back seat.
A passenger in the Begemann vehicle, 45-year-old Joyce Begemann, was transported to UNMC for her injuries. All others at the scene were treated and released.
The press release says Brodersen was cited for following too close, careless driving and child restraint violation.
