Three Injured In Hydroplane Accident

SIDNEY - The Iowa State Patrol reports an injury accident in Fremont County on Wednesday evening.

A 2006 Nissan minivan driven by 16-year-old Jeryn Parmer of Hamburg and a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by 65-year-old Evelyn Thompson of Sidney collided on Highway 275 south of 230^th Road.

Hamburg rescue took Parmer and Thompson to Grape Community Hospital and Sidney Rescue transported a 14-year-old minor of Hamburg to CHI Health St. Mary’s.

The state patrol reports that Parmer’s vehicle hydroplaned and went to the east shoulder before Parmer overcorrected and caused the vehicle to slide sideways across the center line.
