PAWNEE CITY – A Tecumseh man is charged with a “strong arm” robbery of a customer in the Dollar General parking lot in Pawnee City.

An arrest affidavit says 30-year-old Joshua Parrish pulled up beside another car in the parking lot of the Pawnee Dollar General.

A woman there said he reached through her car window, pinning her neck to the seat and spilling her coffee. She told investigators that she knew Parrish since high school. She said he dumped her purse on the passenger seat and took a prescription bottle containing Oxycodone.

The woman said she struggled with Parrish and ripped the pocket on his coat before he fled the scene.

The report of a forcible robbery at 9:38 a.m. on Feb. 28 triggered a multi-county search by law enforcement.

Bond for Parrish is set at $25,000.
