Class of 1979 Donates Digital Message Board
School Board Association awards three Falls City school board members
FALLS CITY – The class of 1979 gathered for a dedication ceremony Sept. 14 for the new electronic message board at the Falls City High School.
Superintendent Tim Heckenlively said the school district expressed its gratitude to the class for making the project a reality.
He said the gift of the message board represents one of the largest class donations in the school district’s history, exceeding $22,000.
The school’s project committee also announced that James Murphy Construction will oversee work on a new press box at Jug Brown Stadium at the conclusion of the football season.
Board members John Martin, June Bowers and Kevin Scheitel were recognized with Awards of Achievement at the Nebraska Association of School Board’s area meeting.
