PLATTSMOUTH – An Arkansas man has been charged in Cass County with fifth offense driving under the influence.

Deputy County Attorney Steven Sunde says Kelly Bedard, 54, was driving with a blood alcohol above the legal limit on Aug. 27. He says there are at least four previous convictions for DUI including a 2010 conviction in Mountain Home, Ark., and a 2014 conviction in Cleburne, Conn.

Judge David Partsch said a $100,000 bond for Bedard and a preliminary hearing on Oct. 22.

A sheriff's deputy stopped Bedard's Buick on the Highway 75 offramp at Bay Road. He was cited for expired intransits and open container.
