With Three Meth Charges Pending, Calderon Accused Of Domestic Assault
Child calls 9-1-1 saying mother is gasping for air

NEBRASKA CITY – A Nebraska City man, who is charged with possession of methamphetamine in December, February and June, is facing new charges in Otoe County.
Rafael Calderon, who appears in court with an interpreter, is charged with child abuse, strangulation and domestic assault on Aug. 24.
An arrest affidavit says a child called 911 about her parents fighting at a Fifth Corso residence. A woman there said there had been an argument about bills and the power being shut off. The woman said she was struck on the cheek and choked.
Bond for Calderon was set at $20,000.
