Cass County Sheriff William Brueggemann reports a citation following an accident Monday at the intersection of Highway 34 and 274th Street.

Investigators say 30-year-old Robert Miller of Elmwood was traveling east on the highway and attempting to turn left onto the county road. A Volkswagon Jetta driven by 63-year-old Patrick Lehr of Elmwood struck the rear driver’s door of Miller’s Toyota Camry.

The collision pushed Miller's vehicle into the ditch northeast of the intersection. 

The sheriff reports that Miller was taken to a hospital by private vehicle with possible head and shoulder injuries.

Lehr was cited for improper passing.
