Peru State MBB Player Snares Offensive Player of the Week Honor Following Historic Win

PERU, NE - Following a record-setting upset win over No. 3 Georgetown, Peru State's Ashton Lovette has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Lovette was instrumental in leading the Bobcats to their highest-ranked victory in program history, posting a dominant 27-point, 15-rebound double-double in the 84-68 win. The junior forward was nearly unstoppable in the first half, pouring in 22 points while shooting efficiently from all areas of the floor.

He finished the game shooting 9-for-14 from the field, including 4-for-5 from beyond the arc, and added five assists to complete one of the best all-around performances of his career.
