Firearm, threat charges filed in Richardson County

FALLS CITY- Joel Orona-Fernandez, 24, of Mound City, Mo., is charged in Richardson County with possession of a firearm while committing a felony and possession of marijuana on Oct. 21.
A deputy sheriff affidavit describes a traffic stop in Rulo and probable cause search based on the odor of marijuana. The affidavit says deputies found a loaded handgun and concentrated THC.
Thomas Galvin, 36, of Falls City is charged with terroristic threats and intimidation by phone on July 14.
A Falls City police affidavit says police observed threatening text messages on his mother’s mobile phone.

Dorothy Whitney, 50, is charged in Richardson County with possession of fixed blade knife and terrorist threats on Oct. 22.
A sheriff’s office affidavit says a deputy was dispatched to Shubert where a man called 911 to report that his girlfriend had grabbed a knife. The affidavit says Whitney is serving a probation term for a 2024 DUI conviction.
