Nuisance abatement on Syracuse agenda

Updated April 11 to correct address of nuisance property
SYRACUSE -The Syracuse City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9.
The agenda includes nuisance abatement for a residence at 876 Eighth Street and bids for property purchase.
The council held a special meeting March 4 with an agenda that included the purchase of property.
Also on Wednesday’s agenda is a public works recommendation for an electrical install and electrical metering.
Roc Hopper Brewing Co., 448 Fifth St., is asking for approval of an SDL license and street closure for May 31 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. for their anniversary celebration in coordination with NRCA TOUR NEBRASKA 2025. There will be 200 plus classic cars entering Syracuse in two separate shifts parking on main street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The city of Syracuse collected $3,413 worth of permit funds in the month of March. From a new single-family residence, fence, greenhouse and footings for a porch.
Five Nines is looking to partner with Syracuse for the service agreements for IT services for another year.
Project playground looking to move forward with a bid of $380,258. This bid will cover the cost of the playground equipment and preparation of the construction site.
