PALMYRA - The Nebraska Department of Transportation has scheduled a public information open house regarding proposed intersection improvements at Highway 2 and Highway 43 near Palmyra.

The opening house is from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, at the Palmyra High School.

The project, titled Palmyra East & West, includes an RCUT at the Highway 2 intersection.

Westbound and eastbound offset right turn lane would be constructed at Highway 43 and the 66A spur to Douglas.

The transportation department says the project is intended to reduce the frequency and severity of crashes.

The project would be constructed under traffic with traffic control devices used for lane closures.
