NEBRASKA CITY - The Nebraska City City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. on Feb. 19.

The agenda includes a proposal for new sidewalk, playground equipment and shelter across from the pool. The $268,000 project is being planned in two phases with the ADA compliant playground in phase 2. The City will be seeking grant funds from local foundations.

The board of public works proposes a water main replacement beneath South Table Creek due to a main failure. The replacement is expected to cost $92,278. A $41,000 project would replace a 4-inch water main with 6-inch from Fourth to Fifth streets on 11th Corso.

A lien is proposed for demolition of a  house at 502 Second Corso in the amount of $8,950.

BraveBe, formerly the Child Advocacy Center, is asking Otoe County for an annual fee of $4,300. The County Attorney’s Office is requesting Nebraska City to pay $1,500 of the total.
