Nebraska City hires new elementary principals

NEBRASKA CITY- Nebraska City Public Schools announced new elementary principals this week.

Tammy Schaefer is principal at Hayward Elementary.

A graduate of Peru State, Schaefer taught fourth grade at Osmond Community Schools and served as an elementary counselor in Norfolk. She later took on the role of an elementary principal and special education director at Cross County Community Schools and is currently a student services supervisor at ESU 2.

Michaela Wilcox is principal at Northside.

Originally from Beatrice, she is currently a second grade teacher at North Park Elementary in Columbus.
