OMAHA, Neb. -- Omaha Police Department is investigating an attempted bank robbery that happened on Friday.

Around 4:40 p.m. at 4740 S 48th St., a suspect entered the First Nebraska Credit Union and passed the teller a note asking for money.

OPD said the teller did not give the suspect any money. 

The OPD police said the suspect left the bank on foot.

According to officials, the suspect was described as a black male between 6'0 and 6'1 with an average build, wearing a long-sleeved black shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
