NEBRASKA CITY - The Nebraska City City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. on April 4.

The agenda includes Arbor Day banners on light poles, Keep Nebraska City Beautiful right-of-way project, adult football league and American Recovery funds.

Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce proposes use of Central Avenue for the annual Farm to Fork meal from 4 to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 21.

Arbor Day Farm is requesting to hang banners on light poles around the southwest corner of Arbor Lodge for the 150th anniversary of Arbor Day and the 50th anniversary of the Arbor Day Foundation.

A 10-minute fireworks display is planned on April 29.

The Arbor Day 5K and 10K run is scheduled Saturday, April 30, at 9 a.m. The start and finish will be in Arbor Lodge State Park.

The children’s program will be at Arbor Lodge on Friday, April 29. Raptor Education with Fontanelle Forest is planned.

The Arbor Day Open disc golf is scheduled Sunday, May 1.

NCTC has scheduled Treestock at Steinhart Park July 2-4. Four artists are scheduled July 2 prior to the fireworks show. Community worship and pancake feed are planned on Sunday, July 3, and a show and shine is scheduled inside the park on July 4.

Keep Nebraska City Beautiful is proposing a beautification project at the corner of Fourth Corso and Highway 2 that requires a state permit. They are asking the city for a letter of support.

River City Athletics is proposing an adult football league program in Steinhart Park. Travis Horner is seeking a three-month facilities use agreement.
